M2 Jewelry by Margarita Mileva

When discarded rubber bands become a funky collection of jewelry and dress. This is what Margarita Mileva, the New York architect of Milev Architects Studio, had on mind for M2.
Called M2, the line of jewelry is part of the collection " Recycling of the Architectural Office." To create these unique and amusing line of necklaces, Mileva is reusing paperclips, punched business cards, eyelids, rubber bands, mosaic stones, ribbons or other recycling office stationary.
Having Guggenheim Museum in mind I created a series of pins and necklaces. As an architect I am inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and the form, the volumes and the light of the museum."

The V-dress co-created by Mileva and her daughter for Fashion's Night Out, Sept. 2010, NY

The necklaces are currently on sale at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago
